Lara Bernhardt is a writer, editor, and audiobook narrator. She lived in India, and her experiences there color her stories, in addition to her extensive research on human trafficking and sex slavery. She contributed the novella Cassandra to the Shine series, and has narrated over a dozen audiobooks. Her debut novel, The Wantland Files, was a finalist for the 2017 Oklahoma Book Award for Best Fiction. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the Balkan Press and also publishes a biannual literary magazine, Conclave. Bernhardt lives in Oklahoma with her husband, author William Bernhardt, and their family.
