Bruce Loper is happily married with two wonderful kids. There. That is out of the way and while it sounds common, these are the most important things. Though retired, he keeps busy writing, skiing, golfing, camping, living. Michigan is without a doubt the best state in the union. He did thirty years in high school classrooms and six years teaching college. It almost sounds like it took him thirty years to graduate high school. Somewhat less than that. He loved every single minute in his classrooms and I think every student who passed through his door. He is currently three books deep on a humorous detective series and is thrilled when he gets feedback from people who identify with, hate, or love his characters. He also makes artistic fish which satisfy a darkly disturbed creative need and several galleries have generously donated space for said fish. On his tombstone it should read,

“HE REALLY TRIED
TO MAKE THE WORLD
A BETTER PLACE THAN HE FOUND IT.”
