M. R. Morgan is the pen name for Mark Reutlinger. He is a professor of law emeritus at Seattle University and is the author of a cozy mystery series published by Random House, as well as a political thriller and numerous works in the field of law. He is also a reviewer for the New York Journal of Books. Sister-in-Law is His first novel for Black Opal Books and his first women’s fiction/romantic suspense.
Reutlinger was born in San Francisco and graduated from UC Berkeley, where he was awarded the University Gold Medal for Scholarship. He began writing novels after retiring from teaching law. He and his wife Analee, an artist, live in University Place, Washington, where he enjoys biking, tennis, various crafts, and interesting cars (currently a Morgan and a Tesla). He also plays the clarinet. He has no idea where he finds the time for all of this.
