Benni Chisholm grew up on the Canadian prairies and, while a student earning a BSN, started writing light verse. Later, in the shadows of the Rocky Mountain foothills she worked as a public health nurse, helped four wonderful children raise themselves, and saw the publication of a few poems, a biography, an anniversary booklet, a newsletter (eight years as editor), and several articles and short stories. Now she and her husband enjoy life in the Pacific Northwest. Chisholm’s fondness for travel is apparent in her two mystery novels: Stained Sand, which is set in Hawaii, Odd Odyssey, where the protagonist finds adventure on a trip around the world, and Showman or Shaman, which is set in a small, rural Canadian town.
